Gathering ‘Light’ in South Africa for Mutual Success: CBMI SA (PTY) LTD Successfully Signs Photovoltaic Energy Storage Installation Project on April 2025, CBMI SA (PTY) LTD successfully signed a partial installation contract for the De Aar photovoltaic energy storage project in the Northern Cape Province with the China Power Construction Group in Johannesburg, South Africa. As the first signed project for the CBMI SA (PTY) LTD in 2025, this marks a significant step in market expansion, showcasing the company’s wisdom and courage in opening up a new window and its key progress in deepening diverse operations locally, as well as the beginning of its expansion in the new energy sector. Due to the long-standing electricity shortage in South Africa, Total Energy is advancing the photovoltaic energy storage project in the De Aar area of the Northern Cape Province, aiming to alleviate local electricity pressures through clean energy development and assist in the transformation of the local energy structure. Given CMEC’s deep experience and contract performance capabilities in the South African market, CMEC South Africa was invited to participate in the project installation tender, and both parties successfully signed the installation contract based on mutual trust. The signing of this project contract reflects the courage to explore new markets and demonstrates the CBMI SA (PTY) LTD’s ability to secure high-quality projects in a complex market environment, further enhancing its market influence and brand recognition locally in South Africa. As the inaugural project for CMEC South Africa in the photovoltaic power generation field, the South African company intends to implement the contract diligently with the determination to “be able to dare, to tackle, and to win” to lay a solid foundation for further cooperation in more areas and projects in the future. The two parties hope to achieve greater success together in South Africa’s energy construction market. CBMI SA (PTY) LTD will also align with the strategic planning requirements of the company headquarters, aiming for a tripartite approach while rooting itself locally, continuing to deepen the localized market, and consolidating its traditional advantages in cement engineering, while actively expanding into diversified projects such as new energy, Mining, and Chemicals, contributing to the effort to “vigorously compose a new chapter of high-quality development in the new era.”
